Such historical complexes of the towns like: Poznań ,Gniezno and Kalisz belong to the most valuable monuments in Poland. The most of monumental structures in the Great Poland region have been restored very well.
Interesting monumental structures are the old building complexes in small towns – even from XVII century – with their true old street systems. Great Poland region in its most part is located at the altitude from 80 m to 100 m.
The lowland areas are covered by many hills and lake concentrations of the postglacial origin and forests with rich and often unique fauna and flora. The highest point is Mt. Kobyla Góra (284 m) one of the summits of Ostrzeszów Hills.
